The counselling relationship is a professional relationship where you are encouraged to be open about yourself and your issues. Your counsellor will listen carefully, and provide a safe place for you to share your problems and concerns.
All counsellors, after an initial assessment phase, will determine counselling goals with you. Unless you choose to discontinue it, counselling will continue as long as you are benefiting from it. You may discontinue counselling at any time. Your counsellor will discuss the impact of that decision with you, but will honor your choice.
The fee for each session is $120.00 per hour. Unless arranged otherwise, fees are to be paid by cash or cheque at the end of each session. The client will assume bank charges for any NSF cheques. Fees for extended phone calls, consultations, reports and letters are to be expected and will be arranged beforehand with your counsellor.
Failure to cancel an appointment within 24 hours will result in the full fee being charged.
Education and Support
The Christian Counselling Centre promotes a learning and growth mindset. Our education and support programs are a way we can help individuals and communities discover ways to better support and deal with difficult circumstances. We offer many information sessions and workshops and are willing to come to your community to teach and instruct. Click here for a complete listing of our workshop and course offerings
Planned Assistance
The Plan for Assisting Congregations (PAC) is a program that allows churches the ability to provide professional Christian counselling support to all their members. When churches sign up for this program any member from that congregation has access to six sessions per year partially or fully paid. If interested in learning more about this program, and how you can make counselling services easier to access for all members, contact us.
Student Emotional Support
The SES program is a program where we partner with Christian High Schools. The model is a walk-in clinic type service where students can just drop in, although appointments can be made and referrals by teachers can be also instigated. The main focus is to purposefully activate and focus conversations on the present and future to promote change. It is a strength based approach and fits with our Christian perspective of restoration through Christ and that he is our strength and shield.
Financial Counselling
Financial counselling provides clients with financial education and assists them in developing effective money management skills. Clients receive personal money management counselling, including assistance with budgeting, support in setting financial goals and addressing debt. Christian Counselling Centre does not offer a debt management program and is not a lending institution. Financial counselling is education based. CCC is a non-profit, fee-for-service agency. Clients who attend a church that has a Planned Assistance for Congregations (PAC) agreement with CCC qualify for financial counselling. Due to the nature of financial counselling, clients who are not covered under a PAC agreement may apply for a reduced counselling rate.
