Overview:
The Christian Counselling Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Director to lead our organization in providing compassionate and effective counselling services to those in need. The successful candidate will be responsible for building on the foundation of quality care and strong relationships within the Christian community, developing stronger interactions with a growing membership, and promoting community involvement to raise awareness of Christian counselling. The goal is to encourage people to seek help and to commit to helping others. The Executive Director will also be responsible for finding new ways as an organization to help the hurting, whether through additional therapeutic options or by partnering with others.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services
• Secure adequate funding for the operation of the organization through business operations and working with community donors and partners
• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets to ensure the long-term financial viability of CCC
• Build and maintain relationships with churches, businesses, and community groups
• Develop and implement communication strategies to articulate key messages to stakeholders
• Facilitate recruitment of counsellors in consultation with the board
• Establish and implement human resources policies, procedures, and practices
• Manage all day-to-day financial requirements, including all government responsibilities
• Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the organization's work and identify changes in the community
• Identify and evaluate risks to the organization and implement measures to control risks
• Prepare for the future by reinforcing the leadership already at CCC and having plans to strengthen the current locations and/or to develop new locations, as appropriate
• Lead CCC by implementing scalable processes and reducing inefficiencies, in both best practices and technology
• Foster and maintain a highly qualified counseling environment that is trusted, diverse, collegial, and compassionate
• Provide strategic guidance for fundraising strategies and implement fund development techniques
Requirements:
• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour
• Membership in a local church
• Organizational and communication skills
• Personable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
• Intense, purposeful, and driven
• Lead the conversation and explore new frontiers
• Full agreement with the Christian Counselling Centre's Basis of Faith Statement and ability and willingness to sign the 'Code of Conduct for Board and Staff Members

Qualifications:
• At least three years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a non-profit organization
• Post-secondary degree in a related field
• Demonstrated experience in fundraising and donor relations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of counselling principles and practices is an asset
