Lydia Bloemendal
SSW, BSW, RSW, MSW Lydia is a registered social worker, and member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), and the Ontario Association of Social Work (OASW). She holds a Social Service Worker Diploma, a Bachelor of Social Work from Dalhousie University, and a Masters of Social Work through Wilfrid Laurier University.
Lydia has worked for years within the London-Middlesex and greater Niagara region, walking alongside those facing trauma, poverty, mental health difficulties, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, addiction, intimate partner violence, relationship struggles, school and/or work related stress and anxiety, among others. She draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Lydia provides individual counselling to adults and young adults (no younger than 16 years old) in the Burlington office, and Online. PLEASE NOTE: Lydia is currently on maternity leave and is not taking on any clients at this time. |
