Lydia Capuano Donaldson
Lydia is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who is completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Her experience and academic background have equipped her to help individuals address a variety of challenges such as anxiety, OCD, depression, and relationship concerns.
She takes a strengths-based approach that encourages her clients to draw from and build upon their existing resources and attributes, while firmly believing in the ability to effect positive change. Since everyone comes from a different walk of life, Lydia is conscious of tailoring each person's session to their needs through collaborative dialogue. While she aims for an eclectic and integrated approach, she tends to draw from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy with a Solution-Focused lens. When she is not working with clients, you can find Lydia singing and playing covers on her piano and guitar, hiking trails in Hamilton, and spending time researching Ontario native plants for her ever-growing pollinator garden. Lydia is not taking on any new clients at this time, if you are a current client and are struggling to make an appointment, please reach out to our office at the number or email at the bottom of this page and we will assist you. |
