Bella is a member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS). She provides counseling services for couples and individuals.
Bella has training and experience with adults and teenagers in the areas of relational conflict, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, emotional expression, women’s sexuality, and life transitions. She has a Masters in Counselling and a masters in Religion and Culture from Covenant Theological Seminary.
Bella believes people experience change and healing through the process of looking into their stories and has been drawn to those who are wrestling with the hard questions of faith. She values the therapeutic relationship and works on creating safety and trust. Bella has an Interpersonal and Experiential focus and draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches and interventions such as Emotion focused therapy (EFT), Family Systems therapy, Narrative therapy, and Attachment theory.
Bella grew up in the capital of Brazil and has been living abroad for several years. Being raised in Brazil, having lived in different cities in the Spanish-speaking Latin America and the US has given Bella a love for intercultural relationships. She provides services in our Burlington office and also sees Spanish and Portuguese speaking clients.
