Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Working together brings results.

As such, the results you get from working with a professional counsellor are as much your responsibility as those of the counsellor.

First: Be Honest.

You must be honest with yourself, your counsellor and anyone else related to your situation. You can be confident that we do not judge.

Second: Be Realistic.

You must be willing to understand the effect of your actions or words on yourself and others. Maintaining your integrity is as important to us as it is to you.

The world tells us that 'the truth hurts' but our Lord also teaches that 'the truth will set you free'. John 8, vs 32

Third: Start As Soon As Possible.

Problems will not disappear on their own. They only become more deeply rooted.
